Even though I’m in my 20s I still feel like a teenager. I never moved out of my parents house due to my social problems and disabilities. My parents are still on top of me like when I was in high school.
The one I like from modern sheds is the one where a husband and wife is shown and to the right of that picture is a bed inside.
Because I have trouble gaining or getting work due to my disability I have thought of this idea.
Even though I’m different I do drive a car.

Even thouhg I have asked this question before I’m thinking about buying a mini-guest house for my parents backyard. Since I have trouble getting work because of my disability this ides comes to the table again.
Part of my disability causes me to have compulsive thoughts were I think about and ask the same question numerous times. I’m sorry!
The weather in Southern California is mild in the winter. I could easily sleep in one of these at night. I would be happier sleeping in one of these mini-guest houses and would get rid of some of my depression. My parents wouldn’t go in the backyard and bother me so easily.

I think its a fine idea if your parents are ok with building one in the backyard. These types of “sheds” are also commonly referred to as a mother-in-law suites. Just a small “house” for one person to comfortably live in. As long as it has a small kitchen and preferably even a small bathroom (at least a toilet and sink), then I think it would work perfectly for you. Again though, you need to run this by your parents.
i like the one you mention, but wouldnt you like more windows in the place you plan to live? There was one further down the page with more windows. you could actually probably make that place cute, of course youd still need to go inside everyday to find a bathroom, but hey, if it works for you, go for it!
Ah, who would pay for this? You would have to hook it to water and electricity and Sewer to be a true seperate lodging. You also would have to have it inspected by the county to see it met building code..
You migh want to contact “Centers for Independant Living” in your area. They help handicapped people become independant.
