Everyone knows that mowing the lawn (without a sit on tractor mower) can be a chore. If your lawn is small it can be tricky & awkward to mow and if your lawn is big then it can be quite time consuming. It can also be hard work and it may be that you do not have enough spare time to spend hours mowing your lawn to a perfect finish.

If you do have a large lawn then the perfect solution may be a sit on mower or tractor. Sit on Tractors (also known as ride on mowers) have a varying horse power depending on your need. For example a garden less than 1 acre in size would need a minimum for 10 horse power and a garden up to 2 acres would need at least 16 horsepower. For lawns that are greater than 3 acres you would need a garden tractor and these have a horsepower of up to 24! Both of these have the same basic function for cutting your lawn however a garden tractor will also have different attachments, including a plough, a tiller or even a snow blower! Of course the decision on which one to use will also depend on what obstacles you have in your garden.

Lots of garden ornaments, benches and fountains will obviously make the lawn harder to mow. If you have only a few obstacles you can get an automatic mower which means you have no gears to use!! Then you can use a bagging attachment to catch on the cut grass, add the clippings to your compost heap for an added benefit. Don’t forget that these all come with there own set of safety and usage instructions which must be followed carefully!
