The brilliant scarlet flowers of Maltese Cross are very eye catching in the garden, and this brilliant scarlet bloom attracts butterflies, bees and hummingbirds.
Maltese Cross Jerusalem Cross [ Lychnis Chalcedonica ] grows best in full sun and in any good soil, if provided with a constant moisture supply. The blooming period is extended if faded flowers are removed.
The plant is an excellent cut flower.
