Square Feet And Cubic Feet – Landscaping Question?

I need to cover 180 square feet of space with mulch at a depth of 1 inch. If the bags are all sold in 2 cubic feet sizes, how many bags would I need in total?

    180 square feet / 12 inches = 15 cubic feet
    You need 15 cubic feet therefore you will need 8 bags

    these people are all correct that you would need 7.5 bags. Truth is though that you will cover some areas thicker than 1 inch, so just get 10 bags and you know you’ll be good.

    A 2 Cubic foot bag generally will cover 24 Square Feet at 1″ depth.
    So you would need 7.5 bags, 8 to be on the safe side.
