Why Has My Pepper Plant Not Started To Bear Fruit?

I planted a standard bell pepper plant about 6-7 weeks ago in a large pot with good potting soil. I have fertilized it with good, organic pepper fertilizer and watered it every other day. However, no peppers have started to grow. This might not worry me, except that 10-12 flowers have come and gone; hence, I assume the flowers were not pollinated or there is some other problem. The pots are in my backyard, with lots of other flowers, plants, etc. Although I haven’t seen many insects, I assume they’re there; indeed, my nearby potted tomato plants have grown tomatos, so something pollinated them. Any thoughts>

I have heard that with flowering and fruit bearing plants a soil too rich hinders production. You may be over fertilizing. It will do fantastic for the green leaves and stems, but fruit will never come.

Are your peppers outside? I just think you need to give them more time. It is just the beginning of the gardening season for most areas.

maybe the area where you planted the plant is not so good and it is not suitable for the plant

The listed search results alone seem to indicate that weather may have a lot to do with the problem.
Here are 2 of a series of articles on the subject of weather:
